01Scope
GTAO Trading (“we,” “us,” and “our”) operates the GTAO Trading website and community platform from the United States (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the Service. It applies to the Service, not third-party websites or services.
02Information we collect
We collect account information (email address, username, name, password hash, profile image, bio, and preferences); Discord sign-in information that Discord provides (such as ID, username/tag, email when shared, and avatar); content and interactions you submit (including listings, wanted posts, comments, images, vouches, reports, suggestions, and crew colours); and security and service information (such as verification and reset records, session data, IP address, browser/device information, and timestamps).
03Notifications and measurement
We collect email preferences and, if you opt in through your browser, push-notification subscription information. You can disable browser push notifications in your browser/device settings and from the Service where available. We also collect limited usage and performance information, such as page views, page URLs, referrer, approximate location, device, browser, operating system, and performance metrics, through privacy-focused website measurement tools.
04How we use information
We use information to provide, maintain, personalise, and secure the Service; publish community features and User Content you submit; send requested or account-related messages and opted-in notifications; moderate content, investigate reports, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, comply with law, and understand aggregate usage and performance.
05How information is shared
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Public profile fields and content you publish are visible to other users. We share information with providers that host and operate the Service, store user-uploaded images, deliver email, support authentication, and provide aggregate analytics and performance measurement; with authorised administrators to operate the Service and enforce rules; when necessary for legal or safety reasons; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
06Public content and images
Profile details, listings, wanted posts, comments, vouches, crew colours, and images may be public according to the feature and your settings. Do not post sensitive personal information or images you do not want others to see. Uploaded images may be publicly accessible where they are used on the Service.
07Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, protect the Service, and remember limited site preferences. Privacy-focused analytics and performance tools receive limited technical and usage information to help us understand aggregate traffic and improve the Service; they are not used for cross-site behavioural advertising. Browser controls may allow you to manage cookies, but blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other features from working.
08Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet the purposes in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can update certain profile information, preferences, and content through the Service, and unsubscribe from non-essential email notifications through account settings or relevant emails where available. No online service is completely secure. The Service is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their region.
