1) Overview

GTAO Trading ("we," "us," "our") runs this community-driven GTA Online trading site. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage your data. We keep this document aligned with what the product actually does—no hidden tracking or payment data.

2) What we collect

  • Account & identity: email, username, hashed password (if you set one), optional name, bio, avatar, and Discord ID/tag when you connect Discord.
  • Auth/session data: OAuth provider IDs/tokens (Discord), NextAuth session tokens and cookies to keep you signed in.
  • Content you submit: listings, comments, vouches/reputation, suggestions, reports, crew colors, notifications, and any text you add. These are generally public to the community unless marked private/hidden by admins.
  • Images and uploads: listing and profile images you upload (stored on our file storage and visible where you post them).
  • Email preferences: your choices for announcement and comment notifications.
  • Logs and technical data: standard server logs such as IP address, browser/user agent, and timestamps for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
  • Cookies/local storage: used for authentication/session, basic site preferences, and security. No third‑party ad or analytics cookies are in use.

3) How we use it

  • Operate accounts, authentication, and sessions.
  • Display your public contributions (listings, comments, vouches, crew colors, etc.).
  • Send notifications you opt into (e.g., announcements, comments) and service messages (security or policy updates).
  • Moderate the community (handle reports, safety, spam, bans) and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Improve reliability and security of the service; diagnose performance issues.

4) Sharing and disclosure

  • Public content: posts, listings, comments, vouches, and profile info you choose to make public are visible to other users.
  • Service providers: hosting/database, file storage for images, and email delivery. They process data solely to provide the service.
  • Moderation/admins: site administrators may access content and logs to enforce rules and security.
  • Legal/safety: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.

5) Data retention & deletion

  • Account data is kept while you have an account. Some records (e.g., moderation logs or aggregated safety data) may be retained as needed for security/legal obligations.
  • Public contributions (listings, comments, vouches, crew colors) remain visible unless you remove them or they are moderated.
  • Contact us if you want your account removed; deletion may keep minimal records for legal or abuse-prevention purposes.

6) Your choices

  • Update profile info, email preferences, and uploaded content from your account or relevant pages.
  • Delete your listings/comments where the UI allows; reach out for account removal.
  • Manage cookies via your browser settings; note that auth cookies are required to sign in.

7) Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, restricted access) to protect data. No system is perfectly secure—please use a strong password and keep your account credentials safe.

8) Children

The service is intended for users 13+ (or the minimum age in your region). Do not use the service if you are below that age.
